Daraa, SANA- A security source announced Saturday that the security operation to eliminate the remnants of Daesh terrorists in Tariq al-Sad neighborhood in Daraa resumed after it was stopped to ensure safe exit for the civilians from the area of the operations.
The source told SANA in a statement that the security operation against Daesh terrorist cells has been resumed after it was stopped for two days to evacuate the civilians whom Daesh terrorists have tried to use them as human shields near the clash area in Tariq al-Sad neighborhood.
The security operation was launched with participation of the security apparatus, in cooperation with local and civil groups
The source pointed out that the security operation in the neighborhood has witnessed a wide advance towards the sites of the cells of Daesh, adding that a number of important sites were controlled in light of continued pursuit of members of the terrorist organization in the area.
The security apparatus, in cooperation with local and civil groups, eliminated in the past month a large number of Daesh terrorists and confiscated a big amount of weapons during the security operation in Tariq al-Sad neighborhood, south of Daraa city.
